Excelent shoes June 29, 2010 C&S Yes, I had bought many different shoes for my girl, nike, sidi, nw, but this are the ones that fitted perfect but beware that they come one size smaller, so if you need a 5 get a 6 or so. The materials are great, inner parts are solid but soft, nice ventilation and ultra solid carbon sole. Compared to other brands, Pearl Izumi offers better quality for all shoe size and more for women sizes. This is a great shoe but after all not for every one, this shoe is for the a serious cyclist, if you are looking for a mid or low range shoe this may be too much. Also you don't want to walk on them, as you will scratch the sole (as in all carbon fiber soles), so if you plan to step off the bike an take a walk around don't do it and follow my advise and get other shoes made for that, this PI's are true racers.
Great shoes, but they don't fit and they weren't exactly what I needed. June 25, 2010 lynzy The shoes were fantastic. I wish they had worked! They were a little small, which is probably because I didn't know how to use the sizes they were offering. I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered a 39.5. They were small. Also, they are not for my type of spin class. These are road shoes. I needed spin shoes. I had them over 30 days, so I can't return them. I'll just sell them. I hope I can find something just as pretty as these!!
What everyone else said April 29, 2010 L. Smith (Yountville, CA) PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE listen to what everyone else said about these shoes, . . .they run really small. I went a whole size up and they are just right borderline to tight. I normally wear a 7 womens and I bought a 38.5 European size. Amazon has the best price. They DO have a funky smell. Like a synthetic cheap plastic. Truly for the price I'm keeping them they don't have another size up $80 used to be $200. I've tried SIDI's at a bike store and it seems like a lot of women's road bike shoes are tighter in the toe box. There is a lot of air ventalation and the clip design is nice and secure feeling.
Great value, once you get the right size April 26, 2010 S. Kim (Washington, DC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading the previous reviews, I decided to do some extra research on shoe sizing. Pearl Izumi's website has a pretty accurate chart. [...]. The shoe itself is great, especially at $80 a pair, considering it originally retailed at $200. It's durable and stiff but still lightweight. I love it!
Runs very small March 29, 2010 M. Smith (Lehi, Utah USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the shoe once I finally got it in the right size. However, it does have a very strong odor about it. I have worn them for a couple of weeks and the odor shows little signs of going away. I hope it does.
