| Customer Reviews: Great shoes! May 29, 2010 S. Hughes (Smiths, AL United States) Granted, these are my first biking shoes so I don't have anything to compare them to, but I've been very pleased. They're comfortable, stiff, and work great with my Shimano PD-A530 SPD Dual Platform Pedal. I love the ratcheting action, makes the fit super snug. First ride out I could notice a difference, especially on the hills. I was on the fence for awhile between SPD and SPD-SL/LOOK, but decided to go with the SPD so I can use the same shoe for both riding and RPM/spinning classes. Plus I like being able to walk comfortably when we stop during longer rides. I ended up getting them from my local bike shop because of other's issues with proper fit and am glad I did - I got a size smaller than what I'd planned to order. Now that I know my correct size, I'll probably order online in the future.
Excellent Shoe! March 29, 2010 Wilmarisa Martinez (Puerto Rico) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these shoes for my boyfriend and he's delited. It's the first time he wares MTB shoes and he says they feel great, and it's a hole new experience.
Easy to look for clips and that they feel comfortable even for walking. He rides 4 times a week, and says he enhance his riding and gives a better performance using these shoes.
Its important to look for the right compatible size in the Shimano's website. If you do that, you won't have any problems regarding the size.
They arrived within a week from ordering (and I'm from Puerto Rico so it might be sooner in the States) and when I contacted the seller (Trivillage-Amazon in my case)they answered right away and they answered all my questions regarding the shoe, the shipping, the clips, and other topics.
Great experience!
Beware the size! February 9, 2010 Paula09 (MD, USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
The size charts on Amazon are wrong. Check the size elsewhere on the web unless you want to pay the hefty return costs... This one went right back and was replaced by one from a local store.
Nice Shoes January 17, 2010 J. Collantes 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
So... About this shoes... apart that they are XTREMEALY COOL... they are extremeally comfty. Like them a lot.
Not If you take a look at the first review of this shoes, I left a comment asking if they run small or what. I was actually gonna buy this shoes with the amazon chart that is up there... but then just to check I went to Shimano's site to see if the sizes matched and they don't. So If you gonna buy this shoes.. take a look at Shimano's website for propper sizing. Got 'em and the fit like a glove. Really nice shoes, got home earlier than expected so, cheers to Seller too.
Excellent value December 28, 2009 C. Peck (California, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I ride 2-4 times per week, and consider myself a fairly serious cross-country rider. I have a nice bike, which I wont get into here, and all the other gear. I was using the cheap Shimano softer shoes (they look more like hiking shoes) for quite some time. I was actually quite happy with them. Then I got these...
What a difference! Fairly light, extremely comfortable, and highly rigid. The strap really locks your foot onto the pedal (you can even synch it up while riding and locked in to make it perfect). I went out and matched my personal best time on a timed run which I do once a week... and I am not in the shape I was in when I set my PR the first time.
Highly recommended for the serious rider who dabbles in the occasional race. Everything you want in a rigid shoe, and the front angle helps make this feel like a very walk-able shoe when you step off your pedal, even though its not really bending.
