This is an excellent heart rate monitor! My former one was a unisex one and when I did push ups, the buttons would turn the calorie counter off. I higly recommend women to get a women's watch and not a unisex. This watch is smaller and the buttons do not interfere with my push ups. I love being able to tell how long I'm in my fat buring zone. My watch starts working shortly after I put it on, I never wet the electrodes. Also, the strap is very comfortable. You get exactly what you pay for with this product!

This product was recommended to me. Once you get the watch figured out, it's o.k. however, each day you have to figure out what you did the day before to get it to work properly. The instruction manual has 10 pages in English and the rest (probably 40 or 50 pages) is in foreign languages. I would not buy it again.

I've had the same Polar heart rate monitor for 8+ years and finally decided to upgrade. This new version is much more comfortable (the chest strap is more cloth than plastic, as before). I also find the display easier to understand and like the removable chest strap monitor (so you can wash the strap).
I find it a little odd to have to wet the chest strap before each work out. Other than that, this monitor is terrific.
